Workshops We Love to Teach
In this workshop we explain the differences in philosophy and physiology between “milonguero” style and “salon” style and merge the two to teach the current style in social dancing in Buenos Aires. We explain why we do what we do in pivots, close embrace and connection so that we can communicate, feel good and be expressive; combining the best of all worlds. We call this “Modern Milonguero” style in honor of the word milonguero as in the person who attends the milongas religiously and modern in honor of the most contemporary techniques we know from top professionals and our own current work.
Followers Feet Workshop
In this workshop Stephanie goes leads the group in self-discovery of current food alignment, strengths and weakness’ in and out of heels so that improvement can be made and understood. She teaches exercises that are to be used at home including handouts and videos to remember the information. Using Physical Therapy techniques, ballet techniques and classic tango techniques she helps followers craft beautiful footwork, articulation, speed, and strength.
In this workshop we teach the number system for connection. FINALLY a system that quantifies connection. We adapted this system from West Coast Swing and Ballroom professionals to help ourselves and our students understand how to have consistent and comfortable connection (energy, power, etc.). Using this system you can enjoy social dancing with different styles more because you understand what they are going for! It has helped our students become open to different styles and enjoy milongas much more!
